We know that an access to education is an important factor to get out of poverty and exposednes. Therefore, Zelmerlöw and Björkman Foundation constantly is working to ensure that youths can go to school and fulfill their dreams.

ZBF and the sustainable development goals by the UN
ZBF is constantly working to apply a sustainable perspective in all its work, with support from the sustainable development goals. Our main focus is goal number four: Quality education, but through adapting a holistic approach to our work, we also achieve several other goals. Below is a brief description of how we work with some of the global goals.
Goal 1: No poverty
ZBF strengthens vulnerable young people in parts of Africa all the way from exclusion and poverty to work and livelihood.
Goal 3: Good health and well-being
ZBF provides its students with well-balanced meals, access to health care and a curriculum that supports mental as well as physical well-being.
Goal 4: Quality education
ZBF provides quality education for vulnerable young people in parts of Africa. To support academic teaching, we also include equality, entrepreneurship, sustainability, sports, culture and health as a part of the education and curriculum.
Goal 5: Gender Equality
ZBF gives the opportunity, particularly for girls, for education, housing and access to health care, which overall are important prerequisites for enabling them to find their own driving force and furthermore get out of poverty.
Goal 8: Decent work and economic growth
ZBF gives students the opportunity to apply for scholarships for higher education and have recently started to build Kenswed Vocational Education Center. This means that young people can be offered post-secondary education at university or in the form of a series of practical educations that more easily will lead to a job for the students after graduation.
